AREAS OF ACTION

RE- CYCLE

circular economy: when recovery, reuse, reconditioning and recycling of materials increase their lifecycle by transforming them into a resource, reducing waste.

RECYCLING

giving new life to waste paper and other recoverable waste.

LOCAL RECYCLING

when recovery takes place in your vicinity, “we are not the owners of any of this, but we are its guardians for the future”.

ENVIRONMENT

a precious asset we need to protect, as Luciano Nicolis, the founder of Lamacart, said: “We do not own any of it, but we are its guardians for the future.”

IN FIGURES

LAMACART RECYCLING provides integrated solutions for the collection, selection, recycling start-up for recoverable waste to ensure materials are efficiently managed. By selecting waste and subsequently recovering materials from it, we are able to transform waste into a valuable resource. The circular economy is a production-consumption model that foresees the recycling of materials for as long as possible. This extends the lifecycle of products and contributes to reducing waste to a minimum. Paper and cardboard, based on LAMACART RECYCLE’s recovery and collection activities, are worked and treated in dedicated plants and paper mills so they can be reused as secondary raw materials for the production of new paper. In Italy, paper and cardboard represent about 30% of total waste, and are a valuable resource given that they can be used to produce recycled paper. Italy has a high collection capacity at over 7 million tonnes, from which good quality waste paper can be obtained. The recycling of paper and cardboard allows secondary raw materials to be reused in the production of recycled paper by recovering reusable cellulose fibres, thus becoming an important resource, reducing its environmental impact and saving energy.

THE "THE POWER OF PASSION" VIDEO

A “short movie" by Giorgio Oppici about the Lamacart company and the Nicolis Museum, but above all a tribute to its founder, Luciano Nicolis.
